Chuck Satterlee

Chuck Satterlee's first comic, AGONY ACRES was chosen as one of the top five Independent Comics of 1995-96. Since then, he has been writing comics and screenplays.  His first screenplay, THE DAY I TRIED TO LIVE went quite far into the first Project Greenlight competition.  He has written five other screenplays and has even won a screenplay writing competition.  In 2005 he created the popular comic book series, OF BITTER SOULS which came out in serialized form from SPEAKEASY Comics..  The artist on the series was the acclaimed Batman artist Norm Breyfogle.  The series was collected into a trade paperback by Markosia Enterprises after it was sold to Kickstart Productions for development into a television series.  Markosia then released more issues and then a second trade paperback for the series.  At the same time and with the very same publishers, Chuck also released the series SMOKE & MIRROR and saw on trade paperback come out fropm Markosia.

Chuck has adapted a number of novels into comic book form.  Some of the more prominant include Joe Nassise's THE HERETIC: THE TEMPLAR CHRONICLES and Joe Devito's KONG: KING OF SKULL ISLAND.  He also adapted THE LEXIAN CHRONICLES for comics.

In 2008, he co-wrote THIRTEEN STEPS with popular writer/artist Phil Hester.  That five issue series was published and Desperado.  The trade paperback is being considered by a number of studios for a feature film.

Currently, Satterlee is finishing his first novel, an adaptation of the trade paperback THIRTEEN STEPS>  This is the first of manyof his comics he plans on writing into novels.

As far as future comic projects, Chuck has a number of irons in the fire.
