Chuck Satterlee
Chuck Satterlee's first comic, AGONY ACRES was chosen as one of the
top five Independent Comics of 1995-96. Since then, he has been
writing comics and screenplays. His first screenplay, THE DAY I
TRIED TO LIVE went quite far into the first Project Greenlight
competition. He has written five other screenplays and has even
won a screenplay writing competition. In 2005 he created the
popular comic book series, OF BITTER SOULS which came out in
serialized form from SPEAKEASY Comics.. The artist on the series
was the acclaimed Batman artist Norm Breyfogle. The series was
collected into a trade paperback by Markosia Enterprises after it was
sold to Kickstart Productions for development into a television
series. Markosia then released more issues and then a second
trade paperback for the series. At the same time and with the
very same publishers, Chuck also released the series SMOKE &
MIRROR and saw on trade paperback come out fropm Markosia.
Chuck has adapted a number of novels into comic book form. Some
of the more prominant include Joe Nassise's THE HERETIC: THE TEMPLAR
CHRONICLES and Joe Devito's KONG: KING OF SKULL ISLAND. He also
adapted THE LEXIAN CHRONICLES for comics.
In 2008, he co-wrote THIRTEEN STEPS with popular writer/artist Phil
Hester. That five issue series was published and Desperado.
The trade paperback is being considered by a number of studios for a
feature film.
Currently, Satterlee is finishing his first novel, an adaptation of
the trade paperback THIRTEEN STEPS> This is the first of
manyof his comics he plans on writing into novels.
As far as future comic projects, Chuck has a number of irons in the
fire.
