Barbara Haines Howett
is a former journalist and public relations agent whose first novel
of interrelated stories, The Ladies of the Borabudur, was
published last year. Other credits include Chicken Soup for the
Woman's Soul, New Millennium Writings, Poets & Writers, Kaleidoscope,
and Phoebe. She has lived in Indonesia (where her novel is
set), Singapore, Nigeria, England (where she earned a master's degree
in Creative Writing from Antioch University's foreign program),
and Canada. Currently, she resides in Nazareth, PA and teaches writing
courses, spring and fall, in the community education department
of Northampton Community College, Bethlehem, PA.
