Melanie
Gold is a published freelance writer who has been published
in local, regional, and national publications such as Eastern
Pennsylvania Business Journal, Pennsylvania magazine,
ePregnancy, Careers and Colleges, and Native Peoples
magazine. She has written dozens of articles on parenting, historical,
and business-related topics, as well as empowering articles for
women in relationships and careers. She was also a contributor to
1001 Things Everyone Should Know About Irish-American History
by Edward T. O’Donnell. She has a bachelor of fine arts degree from
the School of Visual Arts, a private institution in New York City.
Melanie also has a decade
of experience in the field of book publishing. A former in-house
staffer for a division of one of New York City’s largest publishers,
Melanie has since 1996 provided freelance editorial services for
many publishing houses, including Ballantine Books, Penguin USA, HarperCollins,
Henry Holt & Co., St. Martin’s Press, and others. She also works
with an academic press, Prometheus Books. She has worked on many
different kinds of books, including:
